How We Work

A clear process, start to handoff.

No black box. Here's exactly what happens in each phase, and what you get at the end of it.

PHASE 01

Discovery

Before any modeling starts, we map what actually exists: your current data sources, how they connect (or don't), who reads which report today, and what decisions those reports are supposed to support. Most of the real problems in a dashboard rebuild get found here, not in the build itself.

What you get

  • A data source inventory — what's connected, what's missing, what's duplicated
  • A short list of the actual decisions the dashboard needs to support
  • A scoped plan for Architecture, so there are no surprises on cost or timeline
PHASE 02

Architecture

We design the data model and DAX logic before a single pixel of the dashboard is drawn. Star schemas, relationships, row-level security, incremental refresh — the parts that determine whether the dashboard is still fast and correct a year from now, not just on demo day.

What you get

  • A documented data model (entities, relationships, grain)
  • A DAX measure library, named and organized, not buried in one giant file
  • Row-level security and refresh strategy configured for your actual data volume
PHASE 03

Design

Custom layouts and typography, built around how your organization actually makes decisions — not a default PowerBI theme with your logo pasted on top. We design for the specific report, the specific audience, and the specific screen it'll usually be viewed on.

What you get

  • A layout and typography system consistent across every page of the report
  • Interaction design — drill-throughs, bookmarks, navigation — built around real usage, not default behavior
  • A review round with your team before anything is called final
PHASE 04

Handoff

Documented, maintainable, and yours — no lock-in, no dependency on us to keep it running. If someone on your team (or a future vendor) needs to open the file and understand it, they can.

What you get

  • Written documentation of the data model, measures, and refresh setup
  • A short walkthrough session with whoever will own the dashboard internally
  • Full ownership of the file — nothing held back, no recurring dependency on us
