What it does
UniversalCodeMaker generates over 50 QR and barcode formats — from standard QR codes and Wi-Fi/vCard payloads to retail symbologies like EAN-13, UPC-A, and Code 128 — entirely inside your browser. Nothing you type or upload is ever sent to a server: the encoding happens client-side, so there’s no account, no tracking, and no expiring or redirect-based codes hiding behind a subscription.
Why we built it
Most free QR tools online route your code through a redirect server so they can track scans and eventually charge you to keep it working. We thought that was a bad trade for something as simple as encoding text into a pattern of squares, so we built a version that just does the job — directly, permanently, and for free.
It’s also a genuine engineering exercise: batch generation, print-ready label sheet exports, branded QR styling with logo embedding, and a full test suite covering checksum math across a dozen symbologies. The same rigor we bring to a PowerBI data model went into this.
